Artist Statement & Bio

 

I enjoy creating art in a variety of media, processes, & techniques.

My favorite media is the one that I am working with on any given day.

I enjoy the challenge of experimenting & exploring, inevitably learning something new. 

 

My favorite subject is the female form, regardless of the media.

The central theme of my body of artwork is feminine & personal; it is a diary of my life.

My topics range from lust to love; sensuality to motherhood; confidence to vulnerability; life to death. 

 

I draw, paint, print, & create sculptural forms as well as functional ceramics.

I am originally from upstate New York & have studied art in FL, HI, NY, PA, Italy, & Japan.

I have taught art in FL, NY, and Japan.
